Depository Libraries

Federal and state publications are often not listed or indexed in standard reference sources or the WorldCat. Many current publications are available on the Internet. Depository libraries are a valuable resource and are obligated by law to provide public access to both Internet resources and publications in their collections. The Federal Depository Library Program provides publications to libraries across the country. The Library Commission's Nebraska Publications Clearinghouse Service is a selective federal depository. The Clearinghouse collects Nebraska state agency publications, provides online access to key publications, and supports state documents depository libraries across Nebraska. We provide interlibrary loan and direct loan to citizens from our state and federal documents collections.
