Advisory Group Addresses Development and Planning
The Nebraska State Advisory Council on Libraries is established by the Nebraska Library Commission, meeting three times annually and advising the Library Commission on federal library programs and other issues. Council members represent libraries in public, academic, school, and special settings, or are library customers. The Nebraska Library Commission appointed the following individuals to serve on the Nebraska State Advisory Council on Libraries during the 2002-2004 Biennium:

Mary Jackson, Children’s and Young Adult Services Coordinator, retired after eighteen and one-half years with the Nebraska Library Commission. She was honored at the Library Commission in February 2003.
Commission staff and library representatives from throughout the state shared refreshments and good wishes. Mary received a card signed by Commission staff, numerous cards from well-wishers statewide, a memory book containing fond recollections of “Mary moments,” and a gift book from Commission staff,
