Report of Continuing Education Activity

Let us know about the C.E activities your board members have participated in, so that we can record the credits the board has earned.  The Board as a whole needs to accumulate 20 contact hours of continuing education every three years to renew its certification. The board is certified as a whole, not the individual board members.

Examples of the types of activities that can count toward these required C.E. hours include: library-sponsored workshops, Webinars, videos of library-related workshops, sessions with library consultants, self-evaluation sessions, evaluation of chapters in The Nebraska Library Board Manual completed by the library board, etc.

It is best to report C.E. credit hours as your board earns them instead of waiting until the end of the three-year period.

If your board is not listed on the status page, please complete the Public Library Board Certification Application to register your board. There is no charge for board certification.
