Nebraska Library Commission Online Sessions

The Nebraska Library Commission uses the GoTo Webinar online meeting service to present online sessions. GoTo Webinar sessions are live presentations that you access from your own computer via the Web. Audio is provided via Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) using a microphone. This means access to a telephone is not required.

GoTo Webinar works on Windows, Mac, Google Chrome OS, Linux, iOS and Android devices.

You do not need to pre-install GoTo Webinar onto your computer before attending a session. For Windows and Mac users, when you join a session the GoTo Webinar desktop application automatically begins downloading as part of the login process. This only takes about a minute.

Attendees running Linux or Google Chrome OS will join via the Browser or Instant Join app. Mobile apps are available for both Android and iOS.

You can test your internet connection and audio before joining a session.

GoTo Webinar login instructions are sent to registered attendees after registration for a session has closed. The Registration End date is listed on each session page.

In order to hear the presentation, attendees must be using a computer with a sound card and speakers. To ask questions and participate in Audio discussion, attendees will also need a microphone. A Question and Answer feature, where you can type in your questions/comments, is also part of the GoTo Webinar interface, so you can ask questions if you do not have a microphone.

Sessions may be recorded for anyone who may want to see them again or who cannot attend at the scheduled time. Registration for a live session is not required to view the archived recording. Read more about recorded online sessions.

GoTo Webinar System Requirements: Before you attend a session, review the GoTo Webinar system requirements. Please do this several days in advance of your scheduled session so you have plenty of time to update your system if necessary.

Firewalls: Some users with software firewalls will need to give permission to the GoTo Webinar program to operate. For more information, visit: How do I configure GoTo Webinar to work with firewalls?

Additional attendees: If several staff members from the same library want to attend the same online session, please consider registering for one seat and having staff members view/listen together via one workstation. List Additional Attendees on the one registration that is submitted for your library.
