Dollars for Data 2008
Forty-five unaccredited public libraries qualified for 2008
"Dollars for Data" payments by completing the annual Public Library Statistical
Report using Bibliostat™ Collect. The Library Commission instituted the $250
payments four years ago to encourage unaccredited libraries to take an additional
step toward achieving accredited status by reporting the data online. Many
libraries have participated since the beginning, giving the Library Commission
and the National Center for Education Statistics a truer picture of library
service in the state.
