What can we do for Nebraska State Employees?

The Nebraska Library Commission maintains a collection of general reference materials and provides research services to all Nebraska State Employees. Our collection includes books, periodicals and videos as well as electronic resources.. The collection also includes Nebraska state and federal government documents. Most items are available for loan. Reference staff are available to take questions via phone at 800-307-2665 (Nebraska only) or 402-471-4016 Monday-Friday 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Central Standard Time.

  • Research Services:
    Nebraska State Employees may call upon our research staff to provide information needed for work related projects.

  • Interlibrary Loan:

  • Books and Videos/DVDs:
    We check out our materials to state employees for flexible time periods without overdue fines. Our videos and DVDs are particularly useful for staff development and training.   • NebraskAccess  offers free 24/7 access to websites selected by librarians, full-text government publications and Nebraska historical resources. Nebraska residents are also provided with free online access to thousands of full-text magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, biographical and business information, genealogical resources, and more. NebraskAccess is brought to you by the Nebraska Library Commission with funding from the State of Nebraska and the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.

  • State Government Publications Online The Nebraska Publications Clearinghouse Service of the Nebraska Library Commission has been helping Nebraskans find government information by collecting Nebraska state agency publications, listing them in our online catalog, and lending them to the public since 1972. Key publications are also filmed and distributed in microfiche format to 14 depository libraries in Nebraska.
