3,499 library staff members attended 422 Continuing Education Sessions sponsored by the Library Commission, including participants in Basic Skills Sessions.
177 public libraries were accredited.
The Talking Book and Braille Service circulated 357,753 talking books, magazines, and Braille materials to 4,974 customers.
The Talking Book and Braille Service recorded 287 issues of magazines and 52 books.
The Talking Book and Braille Service duplicated 87,415 audiocassettes.
The Nebraska State Database was increased to more than 8 million holdings. These items, cataloged by staff of NEBASE libraries, are reflected in the OCLC WorldCat database of library holdings.
NEBASE members cataloged 570,208 total items.
NEBASE members originally cataloged 4,472 items.
The Library Commission circulated 4,592 items.
The Library Commission borrowed 18,915 items from other libraries.
The Library Commission loaned 1,619 items to other libraries.

At the end of the fiscal year, NEBASE membership included 146 libraries.

7,481 state documents were added to the Commission’s collection, bringing the total to 134,915.
1,538 federal documents were added to the Commission’s collection, and 60,639 federal documents were withdrawn, bringing the total to 100,211.
