NEBASE, BCR & OCLC: The Future of OCLC Services in Nebraska - Online

The Nebraska Library Commissionís NEBASE department will cease to exist as an OCLC network as of July 1, 2009. Nebraska OCLC member libraries will be transfered to BCR (Bibliographical Center for Research) for their OCLC service. Join Christa Burns, NEBASE OCLC Member Services Coordinator, as she explains whatís happening with NEBASE, BCR, and OCLC, and what it means to Nebraska Libraries.

IMPORTANT: This event will be presented online using Centra Live eMeeting software . Centra sessions are live presentations that you access from your own computer via the Web. Audio is provided via Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) using a microphone. This means access to a telephone is not required.

However, in order to hear the presentation, attendees must be using a computer with a sound card and speakers. To ask questions and participate in class discussion, attendees will also need a microphone. If you don't have a microphone for your computer you may request one from the Nebraska Library Commission, at no cost to you, by emailing Jeannette Powell at least a week in advance of your session.

Please see the Nebraska Library Commission Online Sessions page for detailed technical requirements and access instructions.
