Intellectual Freedom and the Core Values of Librarianship

After taking this course, participants will:
  • understand why the freedom to read and use materials is important.
  • understand what censorship is, and how it differs from selection.
  • know how to handle a challenge to materials.
  • understand why privacy is an essential component of the freedom to read.
