AGENDA
Main agenda items for the
October 15, 2009 meeting include the following but may be modified at such
meeting:
- Welcome; Minutes of
the last meeting.
- Outreach strategies.
To date, we have focused on outreach
through veteran service organizations to let them know veterans have
priority for the new players and books.
Are we overlooking any veterans groups?
- We are also conducting
outreach to other potential borrowers through community health fairs, and to
educators regarding direct downloads from the NLS website.
Other ideas?
- Update on digital
transition. We anticipate a shortage
of digital books and players for the next few years.
At the same time, our cassette players and cassette books tend to
require higher maintenance. What feedback are you receiving concerning the
digital books and players and the cassette books and players?
- Outreach during
Nebraska Library Association state conference.
- Reproduction of
Materials Policy. Revision of
existing policy to incorporate new digital formats.
- Thank-yous to
committee member(s) completing their terms of service
- Other
- Date for spring
meeting; Adjournment
