NELSON NAMES APPOINTMENT TO NEBRASKA LIBRARY COMMISSION
Governor Ben Nelson recently appointed Karen Warner
to a one-year term on the Nebraska Library Commission. Karen
is the Director of Library Services at Northeast Community College
in Norfolk. She brings to the Commission professional experience
as a library director and a deep perspective on and knowledge
of the information needs of northeast Nebraska. Karen's background
includes involvement in the Northeast Library System and the Northeast
Library Network, as well as contribution to the library profession
through involvement in the Nebraska Library Association.
As the state library agency, the Nebraska Library
Commission is an advocate for the library and information needs
of all Nebraskans. "Bringing together people and information"
the mission of the Library Commission is statewide promotion,
development and coordination of library and information services.
