Safe Handling and Care Instructions for Players
This information is also available on a sheet that comes with your player.
- Do not let the player get wet.
- When possible, clean the player with a non-abrasive, dry cloth. If need be, use a slightly damp cloth for sticky spots.
- Keep the player away from heat sources like stoves and radiators.
- Do not walk on or pinch the power cord. Keep unused portions of the cord tucked in the back of the player.
- Do not cover the player with a blanket of fabric while it is plugged into an outlet.
- Do not keep the player plugged in during use. This will wear out the battery.
- If the player stops working, do not try to fix it yourself. Please Contact TBBS and we will send a replacement.
- Do not open up the player or expose the battery pack.
What do the warning symbols on the back of the player mean?
There is writing on the back of the player. It is the same color as the player, so it can be kind of hard to read. This is what it says:
"To be opened by authorized personnel only. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture."
There is also a warning label that looks like this:
The symbol with a lightning flash inside a triangle means that if the player case is opened, the voltage is high enough to cause an electric shock.
The symbol with an exclamation point inside a triangle means there is a document with safety instructions available in the box with the player.
