About the Project

In 2025, we began focusing on improving early literacy in Nebraska's underserved and unserved locations. In partnership with the Little Free Library organization, we seek to expand access to underserved and unserved communities in the state. We seek to provide assistance for communities that do not have a main public library for residents to use, and assistance to communities that have a public library but have limited hours or services. Our project seeks to draw attention to decling literacy rates among Nebraska kids, and help them get back on track to improve their language arts and critical thinking skills.

We aim to help by drawing attention to these issues, and provide resources to help Nebraska kids, including Little Free Libraries to compliment our public library locations. The result will be a better quality of life, improvement of lifelong literacy, broader skillsets, and enhanced overall well being.

If you'd like to sponsor a location in your community, we can help guide you through that planning process, including building a LFL box, installation, regular maintenance, books and materials for the box, and community support.
