Reading is only part of the problem. The other parts are math, science, and critical thinking skills. According to a study completed by Pier Partners, over 92% of kids reported greater access to books because of LFL's, and when they have access to a LFL, they read an average of 1.1 more days per week compared to communities that don't provide access to a LFL.
