Institute

The Commission made a practice of conducting an institute at the annual conference of the Nebraska Library Association (NLA) whenever it was held in Lincoln or Omaha. Lectures were presented on a variety of library topics. NLA decided to hold six district library meetings in 1926 instead of the regular annual meeting. These meetings were held in Lincoln, Fremont, North Platte, Norfolk, Alliance and Superior. Miss Edith Tobitt and Mr. Gilbert Doane, Commissioners, gave presentations on "The business side of the library", "Book selection" and "Story of the Book." Nellie Williams, Executive Secretary of the Commission, prepared an exhibit of library aids and tools.
