The Nebraska Library Commission Announces the Release of the New NebraskAccess Site

NebraskAccess, the portal to information databases for Nebraska residents since 2003, now offers expanded resources and a new look at nebraskaccess.ne.gov. Check it out!

"The newly re-designed NebraskAccess presents a well organized and easy to use entry point to a wealth of information for Nebraskans. NebraskAccess is for all Nebraskans and can be used from anywhere with an Internet connection," states Rod Wagner, Director of the Nebraska Library Commission.

NebraskAccess offers free 24/7 access to evaluated Websites, full-text government publications, and Nebraska historical resources. Nebraska residents are also provided with free online access to over 4,550 full-text magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, biographical and business information, genealogical resources, and more. NebraskAccess is made available by the Nebraska Library Commission, with funding from the State of Nebraska and the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Nebraska residents can link to NebraskAccess resources from computers in their homes and at their public, K-12 school, college, or university libraries across Nebraska. Access to these resources is available from any Internet connection using one password (given at your library) or a Nebraska driver's license or state identification number.

Today, 1,028 public, school, college, university and non-profit libraries partner with the Nebraska Library Commission to offer NebraskAccess resources to their customers and students. Many of these libraries could not afford to provide these services on their own.

Try it out today! Complete homework assignments, keep up with current events, find the latest research on health and medicine, make better business decisions, or conduct research on topics of personal interest. Drop by your library or try NebraskAccess on the Web at nebraskaccess.ne.gov.
